About Nancy

Nancy has been practicing yoga since the 1970’s. She has found the benefits of yoga practice have helped keep her healthy, centered and grounded through the changes and challenges; joys and triumphs that life has presented.  Teaching in the Kripalu style, she believes in the transformational power of yoga in bringing health and well-being to individuals of all ages. Encouraging awareness of breath and its influence on the health of mind, body and spirit,   she teaches from the heart, offering a range of levels from a gentle to a challenging practice in a nurturing style.

Having lost both her father and her sister to suicide , and having  three  siblings die in their early 50’s from health problems exacerbated by alcohol and overuse of anti depressants and anti anxiety drugs as well as substance abuse,  Nancy has  found that yoga helped her to move through these difficult times and bring a healthy balance into her life when it would have been easy to give up and follow a similar path.  She believes wholeheartedly in the power of a regular yoga practice in bringing peace and healing to both mind, body and spirit.  She credits a regular practice, along with her spirituality, for helping her through those painful losses.

Nancy’s mission is to serve others by guiding the way to health and well being for individuals at any age.  Bringing both physical and phychological/emotional wellness through the transformational practices of breathing techniques (pranayama), postures (asana) and meditation.

She has studied with teachers such as Larissa Hall Carlson, Dr. John Douillard, Jonathan Foust, Yoganand Michael Carroll, Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, Michelle Dalbec, Richard Lanza, and Shawn Cornelison.

Nancy teaches classes in and near her home in Hanover, MA.  She offers workshops at various studios throughout the year and is available for private sessions in yoga and/or meditation and mindfulness.
